FURTHER DETAILS Dogs - regrettably, we cannot accommodate pets Broadband is available. A wireless network can be accessed from your cottage for a nominal charge; all you need is a wireless card in your laptop to have full internet access.Mobile phones of various subscribers work here, with Vodafone or Orange having the strongest signal.Telephones are not installed in the cottages as we appreciate that a lot of people want to get away from the telephone, however there is a public phone box within twenty metres. You may also want to give friends and families the details of our phone number from this website in case we can assist in the event of emergency.Provisions are available from our local village shop in Barrasford only 1.5 miles away and there are numerous local shops as well as the big supermarkets in Hexham (where we now have a Waitrose) and other nearby towns. We also have an honesty deep freeze where you may find locally made pies or other main course dishes. The local pub is a brisk walk away, about 20 minutes along the quiet country road and is complete with an award-winning local chef. Walks along public footpaths can be started form your front door or you may want to venture out in the car to one of the many stunning locations throughout our area.
