Chesters Walled Garden
Chesters Walled Garden is a 2-acre 18th Century garden, surrounded on three sides by sheltering woods of beech and yew, and open to the south with views over the lovely Tyne valley. Situated next to Chesters Roman Fort, it is on the line of Hadrian's Wall - the site of a Roman road actually crosses the garden. For over 200 years the fruit and vegetable garden for Chesters house, it has now been laid out as a unique herb and herbaceous garden. It boasts one of the largest collections of herbs in the country growing ebulliently behind neatly clipped box hedges.

Central Vacuum Cleaners
With an ordinary vacuum cleaner, you have to carry the electric motor and suction fan with you when cleaning. With a central vacuum system, the motor and fan are fixed in a remote position, which means you can have a more powerful motor with a bigger fan, producing much more suction. More suction equals more penetrating cleaning so you can clean more floor in less time.

Local Produce

Northumberland Cheese Company
The Northumberland Cheese Company was established in 1984 by Mark Robertson in the green tranquillity of the Rede Valley, which once sheltered the infamous Border Reivers of centuries gone by. Our first cheese, Redesdale, handmade from ewes' milk at our Elsdon Hill Farm, was such a success with the locals that word soon spread, and as our range expanded to include fine cows' and goats' milk cheese, national and indeed international accolades began to pour in.

Doddington Dairy
The Doddington Dairy is situated on our family farm, nestled at the bottom of the Cheviot Hills in the Glendale Valley of Northumberland.
Cows from the Doddington Dairy have grazed contentedly here on the farm for over 50 years. North Doddington is now one of the few dairy farms left in Northumberland.
